Finding the best app for your needs is a relatively simple manner. One option, is to visit a review website and see if they have reviewed an app in the niche that you are interested in. Another, is just to go straight to the Android market, and start browsing from there.
The review websites are perhaps more helpful, as these apps have been used and commented on by other people first, meaning that you can get an opinion before actually parting with any money.
Of course, not every app needs to be paid for, and some of the free ones are written and perform to a very high level. Trying these out, is as easy as downloading them and seeing what you think. If you don't like it, just get rid of it. Simple!
